Meet the Journalist
Ashton Irwin
FounderMy name is Ashton Irwin, also known as YOUNGINN, and I’m a 19-year-old independent journalist, media creator, and entrepreneur from Mississippi. I am also a journalist for Country Rap News. My journey has never been a traditional one, but everything I’ve experienced has helped shape the person and creator I am today. My biggest goal has always been simple: to grow, learn, and build something of my own.
From a young age, I learned that nothing would simply be handed to me. At 16, I made the decision to leave school after finding myself constantly in and out of trouble. Instead of letting that define my future, I started working more than 100 hours a week moving and setting up mobile homes. I continued doing that work for several years, learning the value of hard work, consistency, and showing up even when things weren’t easy.
At 18, I decided to take everything I had learned and put it toward something of my own. That’s when I created Rexus Media Network, an independent media platform built around entertainment, artists, and the stories behind the people making an impact. What started as an idea quickly became an opportunity for me to learn about journalism, networking, marketing, media, business, and content creation through hands-on experience.
Today, my goal with RMN is bigger than simply publishing stories. I want to give artists, creators, and entertainers a platform to be seen, heard, and recognized for what they are building. I’m constantly learning as I go, meeting new people, developing new skills, and finding new ways to grow both personally and professionally.
I may have started with very little, but I’ve learned that where you start doesn’t have to determine where you finish. Rexus Media Network is a reflection of that mindset. Built from the ground up, with the goal of continuing to grow.
