Geeked Goon: Turning Pain Into Purpose at Just 16
Tupelo, Mississippi has always had music in its veins, but rarely do you see an artist as young and as raw as Geeked Goon rise from its streets. At only 16 years old, Geeked Goon is already carving his name into the Mississippi music scene — not by flexing the usual bravado, but by leaning into vulnerability, honesty, and the reality of struggle. Signed to Rexus Entertainment, the young rapper is proving that sometimes the most powerful music doesn’t come from perfection, but from pain.
From Depression to Dedication
For Geeked Goon, music wasn’t just a hobby — it was survival.
“What first inspired me to start making music was when I figured out it was one of the only things I was good at,” he explains. “I spent a lot of my life wondering what my purpose was. A year and a half ago, I was really depressed and decided to do something about it. I started releasing my emotions through music, and that’s what rendered me to take it seriously.”
That transformation — from searching for purpose to channeling pain into art — is the heart of Geeked Goon’s rise. His tracks are more than just songs; they’re pages ripped from his diary, laid over beats that amplify his truth.
Family Roots & Fearless Influences
Behind his sound lies a mix of family influence and bold musical idols. “My father, for one, was a big influence in my life. Besides the bad, he’s always supported me in his own way,” he says. “And my mother, she showed me what it’s like to be a caring person, because that’s what the world needs more of.”
On the music side, Geeked Goon draws from some unconventional yet powerful voices. “Lucki is such a poet with his songs and has a way of expressing his emotions. Lil Darkie was a big one for me too, because he has no cares of what anyone thinks of him.”
This mix of poetic emotion and fearless individuality is exactly what sets Geeked Goon apart.
The Sound of Survival
How does Geeked Goon describe his style? In his words: “My music is more emotion-based than anything. I love to express myself in ways more than just the good. The bad has always been there as well, and I use that to my advantage.”
His music isn’t meant to be a distraction from reality, but a mirror of it. Every bar, every hook is an invitation to feel — whether it’s joy, grief, or something in between.
Struggles That Shape the Story
The journey hasn’t been easy. “Throughout my career there’s been a lot of bumps — in and out of juvie as well as struggles with mental health and no motivation to do things with the music,” he admits. “But I’ve always came back to it because it’s my passion and what I want to do with my life.”
That resilience is part of what makes Geeked Goon’s story so powerful. His songs aren’t just entertainment — they’re living proof that you can stumble, struggle, and still find your way forward.
Music as Medicine
So what does he want fans to feel when they press play?
“I want people that listen to my music to know that the bad things that happen in life can also be talked about. We don’t only have to express the good. We all have bad days, and we should learn from those days to better ourselves.”
For Geeked Goon, music is therapy. And for his listeners, it’s a safe space — a reminder that emotions, no matter how heavy, can be turned into something powerful.
The Process of a Poet
Before rap, Geeked Goon was a poet — and that foundation still drives his creative process. “I write first a lot of the time because that’s what I did before I started making music. I was a poet, and I try to utilize those attributes,” he says. “I always try to finish a song in a few hours because if not, it’s forgotten. So I sit down on certain days and just make music.”
That urgency gives his tracks a rawness, a “caught in the moment” energy that fans connect to.
Proud but Hungry
Despite being only 16, Geeked Goon has already had moments to be proud of. “My proudest moment so far has been being able to have people hear my songs and truly enjoy them,” he reflects. But even with that recognition, he’s nowhere near satisfied.
When asked how he plans to stand out, he doesn’t hesitate: “By mainly keeping it real and not only focusing on the hood but also the bad. I plan to keep my unique style the way I have it for many years to come. I hope to be something better than just a BandLab rapper.”
Looking Ahead
As for the future, Geeked Goon has plenty in the works. “I have a new album hopefully dropping by the end of the year, and I have a lot of collaborations coming. But I’m gonna keep it on the low for now until it happens,” he says with a grin.
The Bigger Picture
At just 16, Geeked Goon is showing the world that age doesn’t define artistry. His music is gritty, emotional, and unfiltered — a reflection of a young artist finding his way while staying true to his pain and his purpose. With Rexus Entertainment behind him and a fanbase that grows with every track, Geeked Goon isn’t just another up-and-coming rapper. He’s a voice for a generation that’s tired of hiding the struggle and ready to turn the bad into something real.
